12 days of Xmas - Chrissy Cooking

On the SEVENTH day of Xmas Goldfish cooked up Christmas reindeer!

When I think about Christmas I think about eating yummy food, over indulging and then feeling guilty about it! Not this year as my little helper Georgia is 3 and loved helping mummy around the kitchen.

We decided to make some yummy and fun Christmas treats – just because we can. These cute little reindeer marshmallow pops could be used as gifts for your daycare girls, school teacher or even friends. A fun and tasty alternative to candy canes – that won’t break the Christmas budget.

The ingredients we used for these pops are:

1 packet – lollipop sticks (if you can’t get these you can also use kebab skewers cut down to size – just make sure there are no sharp or pointy ends.)
1 bag of marshmallows
1 bag of pretzels
1 bag of Nestle milk chocolate melts
1 bag of mini M&M’s
1 pack of cachous (you can purchase the balls in three packs – silver, blue and pink)

How to make:

Step 1 – Place the pop stocks in the bottom of the marshmallows
Step 2 – Cut or break pretzels to make antlers (the pretzels are quite crumbly and heavy so the smaller the antlers the easier they will stock to the chocolate).
Step 3 – melt your chocolate in the microwave for less than a min – stir till runny and then dip the marshmallows into the chocolate ensuring they are covered.
Step 4 – place your chocolate dipped marshmallows into a box or florist block to let them dry.
Step 5 – place your reindeer’s antlers (pretzels) in the chocolate, pop on a red M&M nose and your blue cachous eyes to finish your reindeers face.
Step 6 – Let them dry (if your assistant will let you).

Yum Yum Yum – there you have it. Christmas Reindeer Marshmallow Pops made especially by the Goldfish Family!

Ho Ho Ho – Merry Christmas.
